📕 I Didn’t Write a Book to Get Rich
I didn't write a book to get rich. If that were the goal, I would've written an adult fantasy novel featuring wizards and sexy elves.
Instead, my goal was to share what I have learned from places that teach you what really matters: working as a frontline ER nurse during the pandemic, caring for inmates in the behavioral health and hospice wards of prisons, owning a martial arts and fitness center in South Korea, facilitating plant medicine ceremonies in Mexico, and the myriad other places I have passed through in my lifetime.
Across all these roles, I’ve noticed the same thing:
We are so caught up in the pace of modern life that we tend to overlook the basics: the things that actually move the needle in our physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Sometimes we just need a reminder.
I wrote The Path Back: A Holistic Nurse's Guide to Healing from the Intersection of Science, Spirituality, and Ancient Wisdom to be that reminder. In it, I share the latest research alongside what ancient and Indigenous cultures have always known, woven together with stories from my own life and my clients’ journeys.
Do I have all the answers? Of course not.
But what I DO know is that our healthcare system — and society at large — is missing the mark.
Optimizing your health and living in alignment with your authentic self often requires rebelling against the status quo…and sometimes against everything you've ever been taught.
